If you can't think of what tattoo you want, do you really need one? I can sort of understand the tattoo you wanted for your son but there's no need to go and spend $500 so people can read your last name on your back.

do it the gipsy way, it'll save money!

1. let someone draw your last name on your shoulders

2. carve the shape into your skin with a knife (deep enough)

3. rub ink into the cuts (preferably some cheap stuff, like ballpen ink)

4. wait until the cuts have healed, and there's your tattoo! and if you didn't use enough ink you'll have scars in the shape of your last name anyway

if you let your son do this it'll even reinforce the father-son relationship :)

A tattoo is an expression of yourself. The only person who knows about you is you. Not a bunch of people in a spud gun forum. If you dont know what you want to get, then you shouldnt get one, period!!! Would you go to a pet shop to buy a television??? No!!! Why would you ask people in a spudders forum about tattoo ideas????

How could a person think their own skin is so ugly they do that? Beyond my understanding...
