Hey guys! While playing Fallout 3 and trying to perfect my spud gun, I had a great (at least I think so) idea of creating a "power fist".

The power fist is basically an unarmed weapon with two pneumatic cylinders that shoot at as you punch to deal serious damage. I'm thinking about using a single cylinder to shoot a rounded spike and have the whole thing attached to my arm instead, as it would offer better support than my easily breakable hands.

Anyways, since I'm completely new to pneumatic cylinders I could use some serious help. I'm just going to ask the question I couldn't find the answer to through a Google search, but I may have missed something. Well enough talk, here's my questions!
1. Would the pneumatic cylinder handle the stress? I'm looking for something somewhere along the lines of a 2" bore cylinder with a long stroke (6-8 inches or so).
2. Can a pneumatic cylinder extend extremely quickly? I'm looking at creating a chamber and connecting that to a QEV. Then I would use a blowgun to actuate the QEV and into the pneumatic cylinder.
3. How do I "unextend" the pneumatic cylinder? (I forgot the actual word for that... derp

)
Thanks guys.
