Overtightened NPT Threads

Help! I have a 1.5" pneumatic aluminum spud gun, but I think I screwed on the pipes a bit too tight... There are 3 threads left visible on the male threads and I'm scared it is too tight and will go BOOM in my hands. They are aluminum 1.5" pipes and fittings from mcmaster.com

I thread steel fittings unti they bottom out, not a problem.

Is that for both the male and the female?

Did you use any thread lubricant?

If the answers to those last two questions are "yes" and "no" respectively, you're probably up against galling. Things may be fine, but be advised that your threats are likely almost literally welded together. Unscrewing those parts will likely destroy them.

always make threaded joints snug not tight any plumber will tell you the exact same thing

Sweet I just welded my fittings and pipes together! Jokes aside, i'm happy as long as the thing won't cone apart in my hands...

I hope this doesn't breech proper posting (ediket)oops mean manners.
I couldn't find a simimilar thread.can one combine brass fittings with PVC pipe and fittings?I have a PVC cleanout I reduce down to 1" threaded female end and I got a really "spiffy"threaded brass plug that I think would be functional and cool looking.but is there some variables I don't know about that would make that not a good combination?
