I've been searching high and low for a fridge compressor for the past year, but I've had zero success. I've driven to junk yards and up and down hundreds of alleys with no success, so I'm at the point where the search is costing too much time and too much gas money. So I'd like to buy a "raw" or even pre-modified compressor. I've been on eBay to look for a deal, but most of them are at least 40-50$ plus an additional 25$ in shipping, and of those, I'm not even sure which are the "right kind"

Anyway, I'm looking for someone (preferably in the US to keep shipping down) to sell me an old refrigerator compressor suitable for high-pressure spudding. I'm obviously looking for a deal, but I'd be willing to pay about the same as the eBay listings cost (75$ shipped) so that the money goes to a good cause on here, but I don't have a huge budget so I'd like to make a deal

P.S.
I can pay with PayPal or cash, and am willing to trade assorted parts if you need anything aswell.[/list]

I have a couple knocking about that I would happily give you for free, but as these things weigh over 20 lbs postage would be over $75.

I've got one out of an old fridge. I haven't modified it at all as an air compressor. Still want it?. What would you trade for it?

I definitely want it CS. Can you post some pictures of it?

I have lots of miscellaneous spudding parts: valves, fittings, gauges, and some other random stuff. What would you be interested in?

I'll post a picture after work today. You got anything like 5 way valves? Pneumatic things you can't buy at Home Depot sort of stuff. Or things you can't buy at Walmart/ Home Depot for that matter.

L&L I work part time as a engineer for a Holiday Inn. We throw away mini fridges all the time due to cosmetic problems. I got no problem ripping out a compressor and mailing it to you as long as you pay for postage. I made a friddgie from one of these compressors and it works great!!! Let me know... 8) Im located in massachusetts so shipping shouldnt be that much. Prolly weighs about 7 pounds... give or take ..

@CS, I have some 3-way valves and some QEVs laying around

@mattyzip, that'd be great. I'd be glad to take them off your hands
