I just salvaged an AC compressor and was disappointed to find that it stalls out at about 60 PSI. Should I junk it or is it of some use.

I guess I could feed it compressed air from my shop compressor (100 PSI max) to get it to a higher pressure. Also I guess it might be adequate for vacuum bagging composites.

I am still looking for a better one.

Sounds like there was a reason it was thrown away :)

60 psi? it sounds like it could be useful for a nerf cannon

That actually increases the load on the compressor... it speeds up fill times but makes the compressor work harder. It wouldn't make your compressor stall at a higher pressure.
