I am planning on using this push-button valve as a hammer valve:

My question is can the input and output ports be reversed? E.g. does it matter which side the pressure is attached to

To broaden the question, can push button valves generally be used with airflow in either direction?

I used that one for my hammer valve gun... I do not believe it can be used either way though. Considering that it gets harder and harder to open as pressure increases, pressure from the wrong side would likely just open the valve and go right out the other port.
