Busy with life so not much in the way of spudding but I did indulge in a bit of lathe time for something a little more artistic for... reasons. Now that I no longer have a laboratory to appropriate concentrated acids from, I tried my hand at salt water etching and while it's not as deep as what I was getting with 90% nitric acid, the results were quite reasonable and with a 24V 5A DC power supply it went reasonably quickly as well.

As my title described, 2k for modifying Daytona Recoil system to shoot Nerf darts. Full mechanical no wires no battery only HPA. If you can machine anything similar, I can work with that. My desired fps is 400+. The optimal nozzle OD is 12.88mm into a 12.91mm barrel. However I believe it still have the optimizable space for a tighter barrel. Mainly in nerf we have a stupid hpa engine callled “super core” and it looks like a solid kuba t1000 replica. Requires external solenoid for full auto. The reason why I want such a unique system is simple. A happy father, a happy son.
