Pistol Marble gun

hello guys

this is my first attempt to make a marble gun

here's my only problem now
my only problem now is how to make marble not fall in barrel?

I know this gun because alot of people in province makes this gun to shot birds. but they build a better one which is a sniper rifle, What i cant figure out is when they put the marble in the barrel, the marble wont fall anymore even if it points in the ground. how did they do it? can someone send me a vid or images on what do to in the barrel so the marble will stuck in barrel once you put it

There are two good ways to do this, but both need a lot of barrel modification.

The first way is to put a small dent in the barrel (very very small) that when the ball is rolled down it has enough force to pass it but not enough to fall out again until shot.

The other way is to make a "detent", which is a small piece of rubber or plastic on the end of a flat spring in which the small piece of rubber enters the barrel through a small hole.

Dent? can you send me a picture or video? I have no idea what is it and how to put it too.


detent is a good idea but how do you put it in a pvc pipe?

Lastly, How do I make it bang so loud? I saw the rifle version of that, bang really loud just like a real gun
want it to be realistic bang sound.

another one, How to make my Piezo increase electricity it conduct? mine is not that good and sometimes the gun wont fire when I pull the trigger

You could also just patch the marble (wrap cloth or another thin material around it before ramming it down the barrel) or stuff wadding down the barrel after placing the marble in to keep it in place. Patching is good because it allows less air to leak between the marble and the walls of the barrel.

A barrel with an airtight fit will definitely improve your FPS though so if I were you I'd look out for possible new barrels.
