if i crank my gun to say 100psi what kind of pressure will be on the holding "low" side of the sprinkler diaphram.

also does stretching /cuting ring (smaller) make any difference to the end release time/holding prerssure?

Cheers,

The pressure on both sides of the diaphram in the sprinkler valve is equal. Modifying the diaphram makes no difference and can hinder performance if you screw it up.

Didn't think of modifying the spring, not sure if it would make a difference in performance but i wouldn't mess around with it. Just in case you screw it and the whole valve up.

Making the spring stronger might keep it from opening or at least it would slow it down.

Loosening the spring might shrink the spring enough to where it's not even touching the diaphraghm and make it useless. Loosening the spring would also cause it to fill faster on the chamber side and it would op open. Loosening the spring would only make a difference if you were filling it on the pilot side.

Basically, either way it will hurt the valve.
