Fire Extinguisher PB Gun.

ok well i bought two 1-kg fire extinguishers today for $30NZD($18US)
and i was wondering if i could build something like this...


now the problems i have are as follwed:
1:will a 1/2" hose have enough flow?
2:will a 1" or 1/2" blow gun have enough flow?

now i cant use a sprinkler valve as they stay opened and you need a air comp to use it for semi-auto and i want this portable so is there a valve i could use to make it semi auto as a blow gun you can open and close it.

i just had an idea, what happens if i used a sprinkler valve and used the second tank to keep a constant air supply to open and close the valve? would this work? would this gun be powerful enough at 150psi shooting paintballs and each fire extinguisher holds 3liters i think...

any suggestions,ideas or constructive critasism(sp?)?

Any sprinkler valves I have that are modified only stay open as long as I hold the blowgun lever down, but NZ might have different kinds of things. I don't think a blowgun will have enough flow to shoot a paintball over 75 fps and with two fire extinguishers you'd have enough air (if a blowgun did work) for about 5 shots or less.

ok thanks, i wasnt sure on that sprinkler gun thing ive heard mix resaults so i might buy my first sprink valve and see what happens,
what about the hose?would i need a 1" or would a 1/2" or 5/8" do?

Be sure to feed the excaust of the blowgun into the barrel so you don't waste that precious air!!

I still think you should go with the first one. It is dome shaped, so it can hold more pressure than the others, along with it's the most looking like all the others we see except its black. It also looks easiest to mod, the bit would slip if you tried to drill straight down on the last one, and the second one most likely has a guide rod because of how tall it is.

ok, i fixed the problem that no fittings being able to fit the threads,i cut the valve of the exintgusiher where the valve meets the bottle and i reversed the fitting around as it had threads (on the inside on the side that was on the inside of the tank) and pulled out this white plastic fitting that used to be inside the bottle,i screwed that on the outside valve fitting thingy and fitted it to a 1/4"-1/2" brass fittings so now i have universal proper 1/2" threads on the outside of the tank.

now this white plastic fitting i used, was on the inside of the tank, would it be able to hold 145psi?(thats the working pressure of the extinguisher but the tank can go up to 290psi prolly more.)
