I'm considering making a webpage in which I'll sell various spud guns. Pneaumatics and combustions. I'll probably offer spud gun accessories to add yourself such chamber fans and propane meters. Just wondering if this sounds like a decent idea to anybody who would know...

I suppose I could ship out of the Oceania area itself, but my idea is to set up a southern hemispheric alternative to http://www.spudtech.com.

Feedback would be much appreciated.

Well I guess its a good idea but I wouldn't expect to get much business.
1. Most people want to make potato cannons themselves that is part of the experience and it's cheaper to make your own.
2. There are already a bunch of places that make potato cannons that are big sites, like Spudtech.

I'm not trying to be negative I'm just telling you I don't think it will work. I myself am thinking of selling potato cannons locally.

Just join Http://www.Thespudmall.com/mall
It is becoming a market place for spud guns and it is easier and cheaper then having your own site.

Yes I 'spose it is a dream :D.

I wouldn't be expecting much business and I'm some what speculative about the whole idea too. I always thought when I was a bit of a newbie to spudding that buying parts would be awesome, but buying from overseas seemed a bit daunting.

Well I'm situated in Brisbane, and ideally would be stocking different sized barrels and chambers, breech loading systems, possibly modded valves, control boxes, different ignitors, ammo's and as previously stated propane metering systems and combustion fans. As well as a number of different combustion and pneumatic launchers, probably different models to choose from and occassionally a custom job. As I said, this would be the ideal situation and I'd need to get hold of some better tools.

Oh well, maybe I'll just let people know that if they need something done for them around the Oceania region, I could probably get it done for them. This would all be done in the not so distant future...but not right now.
