Where can I purchase a sheet of pvc?

Depends where you are, In my area there is commercial plastics. I can tell you that it will be very expensive. You might want to try lexan or lexguard ( lexguard will stop a 44 cal bullet at 12 feet). But dont buy that cheap crap in retail stores

How thick does thi sheet need to be?Why not cut some PVC pipe length ways and heat it in an oven so it becomes malleable and let it cool flat..And there is your PVC sheet.

Try http://www.solarbotics.com it comes in different sized sheets and colors, they ship really fast, I used them when I did small robotics.

All you have to do is cut pvc pipe in half and then boil it until it is soft. Then flatten it to your liking.
