oh, I can hold it pretty still. but, I may still add a removable stock, so it doesn't screw up how it looks. oh yeah, the compression coupling is no longer epoxied in to the 3/8ths to 1/4 inch reducer. when I got home, I found the necessary fittings (all brass) and put it on the right way. I used a compression coupling, then a flared end off a 1/4 inch brake line, with a 3/8 threaded thing. that goes to a 3/8ths to 1/4 inch steel reducer (bb's sit in there and That way they don't fall out the barrel), to a 1/4 inch brass nipple I bought yesterday.

what caliber are those BB's ? What diameter ?

can you get the same fittings in metal as you do PVC, e.g like a 1" 45 degree bend?

yes, for the most part. sometimes, even fittings that are not available in PVC. I am going to unscrew the piece of pipe the piston slides in, then smooth it with a lathe. then, I will machine a piston that has better clearances AND DOES NOT REQUIRE ELECTRICAL TAPE. every 25-50 shots, for some reason It lets the air out the blow gun, but the piston doesn't move. so I coat it with tfe paste, then it works. but that gets annoying, and discouraging. The bb's are 1/4 inch in diameter, or right around that.

UPDATE:I got another barrel, and it fits spent rifle shells filled with solder perfect! put one through a old Suzuki gas tank (that someone had punched a shovel through) It was the other side, though.

THe extended back is not my style ( just makes the gun longer, while it would work just as well when shortened), BUT I have to say it looks just fine

I just wanted something different, and this is how it turned out.

UPDATE:

the bb rifle is now semi auto. I added a tee coming out from the place where the schrader valve used to be, with a gauge pointing back to the operator of the gun, and a 1/4 inch ball valve with quick disconnect nipple on it for a constant air source. I am working on a spring fed magazine. I have a breech in a different barrel made for shooting .45 cal handgun and rifle shells (they fit perfectly) the breech has a carbon fiber handle, and the hole in the barrel itself was ground out with a carbide bit on an air die grinder, then sanded so there were no sharp edges with a file and emery cloth. I added a muzzle break type thing made out of grey 1/2 inch electrical conduit. It Is incredibly accurate. I picked off a teeny beanie beanie baby sitting on a stump at 50 feet. the ammo was a .45 cal shell.
