is it safer to use 316 stainless steel reinforced unions?
it is for a hybrid mini and i planed to use a 1 1/4'' sch 80 one. I dont want it to blow unless DDT happens. if it blows i want to die not be in the hospital for 12 hours getting pvc out of my face.

For what purpose are you using them? If it's for a normal combustion, or pneumatic, or hybrid, yes, because they can hold a substantially large amountof pressure. A 3/4 inch 316 reinforced union can hold 415 PSI.
