Hello fello mambers. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some advice... Okay i am trying to build a pneumatic air cannon. the technique im tryin to capture is the one using a rubber diaphram and a ball valve. the chamber is supposed to be 3" in diameter and the barrel is 1/2" in diameter. If anyone can help me please be my guest and ill get back to you ASAP. :@)

Don't ask for plans, do research. There is a nifty search button at the top of the page that has your answer.

#1 It is difficult to understand what you're asking here because a diaphragm valve doesn't use a ball valve unless you are implying that the ball valve is attached on as a filler or as a pilot.
#2 COMBUSTION CANNON SHOWCASE!!! this is for combustion cannons, to showcase. Not to ask questions on how to build a pneumatic gun.

So was the ball valve venting the air from behind the diaphragm? If so it was the pilot. There is a good animation around here somewhere, I'd check the spud wiki. Also, if you want to know how to make one I'd go to spudtech.com and look in the forum, then under pnuematics, then under valve cutaways. There they have a cutaway of a diaphragm valve. Hope that helps.
