Ball valves aren't very good. They open too slowly to work well.

Sure, they'll lob your ammo, but at a mere fraction of the speed that a faster opening valve will.

if you want to buy a valve then just go with a sprinkler and modify it to be pneumatically actuated. Or you could buy a ball valve and a pneumatic ram to open the ball valve quickly.

The best valve is a home made valve. Make a piston valve. Best there is.

how do u make a piston valve cus i am all new to this stuff i am used to makein robots and stuff like that but this stuff is so realy hard:? tell how maybe so me pics and stuff :D

i think i well go with a ball valve to start off as i am makin ma first air gun think :!: as ma pal told me they are the easyest to set up :wink:

ma pal is usein some change 1 that his dad give to him its like got a buttin to open it instead o a handle thing so wat kind o valve is it tell me plz :?: and its realy fast to open his dad said :!:

but ma 1 i am goin to use a ball valve cus i fround 1 in ma shed and i well only use it for ma first gun the next 1 that i make well be alooooot better :twisted:

i have tryed to but he shot mee with his bb gun in the *** lol but i think his dads got 2 so i well see if i can get 1
