i would liek suggestions for my cannon

ok the cannon that i have has a 3 ft long 4 inch wide chamber that reduces down to a 1 ft long 3 inch wide chamber and then i have it reduced down to a 5 ft long 2 inch wide barrel ... and obviously an end cap .. ive got it wired to ignite with a BBQ lighter and i have a case fan in it .... i was going to ask for a few suggestions for questions that i had, or any suggestions to make it better in general... whenever i fire it off it sounds like a shotgun blowing off and my neighbors (closest one is over 500 yards away) can hear it ... should i extend the length of the barrel to make it quieter? and would i get a much higher muzzle velocity if i were to increase the barrel length? i use carberator cleaner and (i cant measure it) but i believe my cannon can shoot potatos 350 yards at 50-55 degrees ...

try maiking a silencer, get a peice of piping that just fits over your barrel and drill many holes in it, use a pop bottle or sumthin over it and stuf rags in between
