you mean a male thread x a female thread? There should be, haven't seen any though. Why?

Well if you think about it, metal isn't solvent welded. Rather its threaded in all necessary connections. So quite simply there would be no use for a Spigot component featured in metal. This is unless as 'PVC' suggested, you mis-identified the fitting in question.

What about if it was used for a copper barrel, e.g a 10mm socket to a 25mm threaded end for the sprinkler valve. I have two 10mm(3/8") female socket to 20mm(3/4") female threaded end. I used 10mm copper with it, drilled a hole and threaded a screw as I don't have a copper solder, and connect that to a Black Hansen 20-25mm spigot.

Yes, many codes around here require the PVC "female" threaded fittings to be the reinforced. That is where there is aa SS ring molded into the fitting just outside the threads. Because the threads are tapered there is pressure pushing out from both the threads and the water pressure, this can cause cracking in the joint.

I thought you can get some copper solvent welding epoxy stuff? I remember someone used that once.
