Somone should build a huge gun with 2 maulers and shoot a supah out of it at a supah. The 2 maulers would obliterate the 2 supahs lol

That wouldn't be right... If I could build such a magnificent heap of PVC as a supah, there would be no way in hell I'd destroy it!

yeah I know, but it would be funny to watch hours of work destroyed in several miliseconds

Yes, barrel sealers have been proven to be better than chamber sealers. Clide over at spudtech (you probably have seen his semi-auto here... possibly the most popular gun on spudfiles) did a test...don't feel like finding the link right now, maybe later

beebs111 wrote:why would you just use a "feel test" as opposed to a pair of calipers, there like 5 bucks for a pair. oh, and can i have a mauler for christmas please??? and why wouldn't you just put a spring into your valve, i know it sounds simplaer than it is, but it would only have to apply 5-10 pounds of pressure to keep the piston sealed untill the air equalized, and you could put a stronger spring in in order to help with the piston's recoil
The feel test is used because nothing is more accurate than seeing how it actually performs.

I have a caliper and I use it all the time, thanks. Decent ones are nowhere near $5. The model I have sells for $25.

I'll give you a Mauler for Christmas if you give me $85 for Christmas. :P

By installing a spring and allowing for chamber-filling, it actually takes away from the efficiency and a lot of the power behind the Mauler. It not only has to compensate for the spring's force, but now the piston's internal check valve needs to be removed so the back can fill from the chamber and air will rush in from the chamber as it is being triggered, giving it a slow opening time. This extreme efficiency is what allows the same performance by using a 1/4" ball valve trigger as a 3/4" QEV trigger.
beebs111 wrote:i wasn't talking about Recoil as in the kick of the gun, i was talking about how the piston slams back against the back of the valve and how a spring would help that. it just a suggestion for gort, and if it was only a 5 ound spring it would only decrease the speed by a little bit.
The piston does not slam back with enough force to snap anything. I have a sufficient enough bumper to stop the piston well and to prevent any snapping. This can only happen in a gun with a piston of high mass that travels more than the distance it needs. My valves use just over the minimum distance needed to allow for full porting and my pistons are much smaller and lighter than a Supah's piston.

Now you just need to get the advertisement like the supah does. And make a Mauler Valve Plus.

No 8in porting!! That would be huge. Really I believe that the supah is over rated. You can make a barrel sealer like tha mauler and get much better flow. Plus its not hellishly expensive.

Gort, do you also sell the mauler with overly-priced modded sprinkler valves as piloting valves?

I am considering the possibility of offering a few different triggers with the valve. I have already done some custom trigger assemblies. I had some listed with my valve on my store but I took them down.

The only downside is that for me to make a trigger assembly with say, I am goin to have to charge amounts approaching that of the valve. For a 3/4" QEV pilot with hose and blowgun trigger, and ball valve with quick disconnect, I would have to charge $65 at least to make it worth my time. Homeflake just bought exactly that and I sent it off yesterday. I hope he posts it by this weekend. I think it's one damn sexy trigger assembly myself. :D

Thats a great deal!
Considering that you have to put time into makng the valve and desinging it.
