I'm not dumb insomniac, I know barrel sealers can have o-rings. I have one right now with o-rings. I just was saying that since it didn't it had to be a barrel sealer. If it has o-rings it could be either or, but a chamber sealing one NEEDS o-rings.

A chamber sealing piston doesn't necessarily need O-rings, there just haven't been any without them.

Okay noname, if your so smart, how are you going to make a chamber sealing piston without o-rings. Don't be stupid, it's the only way to separate the pilot from the barrel.

Might I reiterate, HOW!!! You can't keep the pressure back without 'em.

if the pison is a tight enough fit it shouldn't need o rings just some good thick greese to help seal and lubricate

No. Doesn't work that way.

PVC pipe is not perfect. It has many bumps on the inside and you will never make a piston that can seal on the inside and is able to move without o-rings.

Honestly, is it all that hard to stick some o-rings on there?!

well....If you don't have a lathe/table saw etc and have no time to use a file, you shouldn't build a chamber sealer

its a barrel sealer without o-rings, Its actually more like a diaphragm valve but the phragm is like a flexible cone with a flat spot as a sealing face
