I'd have to agree. If a 100 year old man can play it and still be able to compete with the younger, or rather less dead, players it really isn't a sport. Also, the same goes if a 600 lb man can do the same as his.....uhhhhh.....lighter opponents it really isn't a sport.

This is something that really bugs me. You turn over to the SPORT channel and what do you see? Golf, poker, darts, billiards, blackjack. Dominoes. What the heck? those do not belong on a sports channel.

There you go. Albeit there is skill involved, there is no physical prowess there. So you can hold cards, or swing a stick at a little white ball, any monkey with half a brain can do that.

actually, according to this definition, all of those should be called a sport:
Sport-any activity that uses physical skills

I feel as if I have opened the proverbial can of worms.

blinking doesn't involve any skill, it is an involuntary movement, and i never said that everything that fell into this category showed off the athletes individual and outstanding abilities, which is the whole point of the olympics

it could be a sport, if you are an extremely fast typist, and i wouldn't be bothered by that. It takes more skill than football so it should be a sport.
