Help with search

I've been looking all over for help building a piston valve(which I think I've about got it...I think). On topic though, I tried many ways to type "piston valve" in but the darn thing shows every post that even says piston or valve in it. Is there a better way to search? Help, please

Are you using the quick search??? It will hardly ever work well. Use the search button at the top of the page, and use the buttons there to narrow down the search.

Well I looked for a quick search(I must be dumb) and didn't fint one. The only search I've used is the one at the top of the page.

Oh, hang on which forum are you using?? the new one or the old one??? The new one has a quicksearch which is next to useless unless you use it for somthing that is only mentioned once or twice in the entire forum.

I'm oldschool. I thought you was too? I guess I'm the only one left. Oh yeah, has PCGUY changed the color scheme yet(gave us an option)?

I use the new one. There isn't another colour option, but the bright white has been changed to a slightly darker, very light grey sort of colour.

I'm not entirely sure how one would specify "piston valve" as a phrase... but one can search for "Piston AND valve"

...or, for that matter, "piston AND valve AND construction".
Or such.

I guess you're right but I was tring different ways to find out information on a piston how to. I'll defintely try that next. Thanks.

What I do when I get 700 matches is sort them out on the forum theyre in. e.g for pistons only look in Pneumatic canons showcase and penumatic cannon discussion and the how-to section and possibly theory.
