i had a gatorade bottle i was just spraying axe in then lighting it with a lighter and when i was done i blew on it to get fumes out, went inside and put the cap on and stuck it under m work bench.
about a week later (today) i rememberd the bottle and was gonna try and make a mini hybrid but as soon as i started to pick i up it kinda collapse in on it'self as if the air were sicked out! it wasn't a complete collapse like it was a ball afterwards but over half of the small sides of the bottle made a loud "pop" and bent inward towrds eachother.
wtf do you think happend?! it was like some kinda si-fi thing lol..

The air inside the bottle might have been hot which would have made it expand, and when i cooled it would have decompressed.
and also heat sorter makes bottles collapse a bit

the hot vapor expanded vapors cooled and condesed. My dad said that this happend to a gas tank on the back of a truck when they forgot to vent the hatches after cleaning it

Yeah, the gas expanded and excess gas escaped before you put the cap on, then when it cooled the air couldn't get back in and it collapsed the bottle.
Get a milo tin and put a cm or so of water in the bottom, then put it on the stove with the lid SITTING on top (not popped in properly) and turn the stove on.
Then, after most of the waters boiled, let it sit until the water stops boiling, then pop the lid on. Pick it up (use tongs, the tin can collapse at this stage) and drop it in the sink under the cold water tap, and turn the water on.
After 30 seconds or so the tin will go POW! and collapse.

I'll explain.
When you messed around with the bottle, you heated the air inside it.
You then put the lid back on, and therefore a vacuum was created within after the air cooled.
The shape of the bottle was held in spite of this slight vacuum, due to the circular construction.
When you picked it up, you warped the sides slightly, so that the shape was no longer perfectly round, which then allowed the mild vacuum to collapse the bottle slightly.
I think that makes sense.

yep, this is pretty much what probebly happened, yey we all get gold stars
you see the particles in hot stuff have more energy/heat and tend to vibrate/move randomly more, when they vibrate they need more space so they spread out expand and ocuppie more space although their is the same amount of matter, thus there is less density
so more heat = less density = same amount takes up more space
and less heat = more density = same amount takes up less space
that a little explaintion of Why in addtion to What happend, it might have been pointless but thats for the people who never learned the fundemetals of thermodynamics

No, but I bet it would be amazing. Its strange how we think vaccuums are so powerful, when a total vaccuum is only about 14 psi below atmospheric pressure.
