Coke and Mentos for power?

Could it be possible to mod or create a pneumatic gun, but whose pressure and power come from the reaction between Diet Coke and Mentos?

I was thinking of some like adding two ball valves, one after the other, on one end of the "air" chamber. Put some Coke in, then close both ball valves. Open the first to put the Mentos in, close it, then open the second to drop the mentos into the Coke. Then of course open the third ball valve (the one that connects barrel to chamber) to launch it.

Might be messy, bu also might be a lot of fun.

It'll be fun for one-offs but any common use of it is going to be a pain.

It'll work. The same way vinegar and bicarb will work but don't expect huge pressures.

It'd probably jsut be easier to use Coke and Mentos as fountains, now that I've thought about it more.

We have gone over this countless times it would be impratical in price in fact after a month you would be better of buying a co2 regulator.
