Hello All,

I'm looking to mod one of my air cannons from a ball valve to a sprinkler valve. I cant find a valve locally so I have to order one without seeing it in person. . All my ball valves are 3/4" so I'd like to use the 3/4" rainbird, but I am wondering if the flow is any better thru the 1" valve.

Are the diaphrams and other internals the same? is the only difference the inlet and outlet sizes?

Is there any benefit to the 1"

Thanks

You will get a slightly higher flow through the 1". The internal design is the same but the 1" uses a bigger orifice.

The 1" might get a tiny bit better flow, but not enough to make the difference of 20 fps. The valves are EXACTLY the same, except for the inlet and outlet diameters.
