Not if you do it right. Take a thin roll of paper and stuff down into the crack a bit and it'll keep it from dripping down. Or you could just use 5-minute epoxy, set the gun on it's side so it can't drip down and rotate it every half minute so it doesn't all slither to one side.

i could just mix the epoxy normally then thickly coat the outside of the pipe and inside of the valve tube. i could just hold the vale so the epoxy would drip towards the end.... would this work?

i'd rather not have a hanging barrel...
