Scuba tanks hold between 2200 to 4500psi depending on size and tank construction . The compressors used to charge them are very expensive. Even a small portable scuba compressor will cost $1500 used. The one that I use to run my paintball field costs $3000 new and this is a small compressor.

so if i can find a place that rents or fills scuba tanks, a filled scuba tank should be good for filling my pneumatic potato gun hundreds of times on one filling right?

Scuba shops charge $15- $25 to fill a tank but you will still need to get a regulator that will get you from 2200 psi down to 100psi to charge your gun. The number of fills you will get depends on the size of your guns air chamber and operating pressure. You will still endup spending a lot of money for a setup like this.
