Spud Gun Erector Set
Ive been thinking... how cool would it be if you went to the store and bought a spud gun erector set? A set that would have different size chambers, barrels, valves, igniters, fans, compressors, meters, unions and fittings. Every think would screw together so that you could take that cannon apart and build a different one. So, my question to you, is this a good idea?

well pipe fittings are a spud gunner's erector parts, only not many companies are willing to sell such kits since they don't want to take responsibility, if you want to have a super modifyable kit just make all joints threaded, but really it costs more than nessary and it takes away alot of the engineering involved in spuding
i would love it, but then you would have to deal with the liabilty and crap, which might make it hard to find a store to sell it and if someone got hurt you can kiss your business good bye cause its never the kids fault (who looked down the loaded barrel of the cannon and pulled the trigger cause hes a dumb ass), its always the big bad corporation fault for not making it so the kid wouldn't do it.

That would be totaly awsome! But, i have to agree with Killjoy, stupidy and the danger aspects of it would wined up getting some one in big trouble! Plus, that would ratchet up the redarick on banning spudguns.
But, that is a dam good idea, mainly because you can reconfigure it over and over, that makes it better then the cannon kits that are allready being sold. You should run this idea by PCGUY and Bcpneumatics. Maby they would start offering a kit like that???

cool idea to start off with but I like the idea of makeing a gun from scratch...this kinda seems like it take some of the engineering out of the hobby.
Movie dialogue: "The good die first."
Tom: "But most of us are morally ambiguous, which explains our random dying
patterns."

All they have to do is put a big bayonet on the end of the barrle so no kid will get his face close enough to shoot himself.Killjoy wrote:i would love it, but then you would have to deal with the liabilty and crap, which might make it hard to find a store to sell it and if someone got hurt you can kiss your business good bye cause its never the kids fault (who looked down the loaded barrel of the cannon and pulled the trigger cause hes a dumb ass), its always the big bad corporation fault for not making it so the kid wouldn't do it.
Of course why didn't i think of that lol. Actually the pvc mini isnt a bad idea, or a kit for a pneumatic bb gun, they're small and would probably be harder to hurt ones self with, but then again i nearly killed myself with a pen and a wall outlet, so what do i know. All they have to do is put a big bayonet on the end of the barrle so no kid will get his face close enough to shoot himself
