I made one of these. They are way more powerful than a cheapo airsoft gun from like walmart! the only bad thing is horrible accuracy...

Would it be possible to rig up a syringe with a spring and use it to the same effect?

Man this is just a cheep immatation of the blove gun and that tape wont hold on the balloon because u will pull it right off i just use one of those clamp things they do the trick.
but yeah this aint that good it could b better

im from new zealand and yea we call em joey guns,,,use to use the to hav wars wen i was a lil kid...n e glove worx realy jst soft 1s break easyer bt they take like 30sec to make
