Joel is in Iraq. Kind of hard to complete orders when you're hundreds of miles from home.

And I find it slightly offensive that you would call Joel 'lazy' for going to a war zone.

You can actually still post in the threads if you have one of the forum views up in your browser from before it closed. The "active topics" page is still up as well (http://forums.spudtech.com/active.asp).

No, he will be going to Iraq shortly.

Now, if you wish to question his sence for not hiring a helper, that is a perfectly legitimate complaint.

Anyway, I expect it'll be offline untill they have secure some more secure forum software and install it.
No clue how long that'll take, but it shouldn't be more than a week or two.

...and I wouldn't call spudtech useless... it's really hard, for example, to get a good pioneering discusion here.
I mean, if you want to ask what a fan does, we can feed you the answears; but honest technical discussion is rather lacking here.

ive noticed that also, as much as i love SF it doesnt get as many technical threads going.

but i like the atmosphere here more.
There are rules, and then there are hundred dollar bills.

The reason the spudtech forums are down is because some jerks found holes in the old forum software and threatened to do terrible things to it if the people didn't upgrade it.
