I don't think his hand was seriously injured because if it was he couldn't type very well and would be at the hospital rather than on spudfiles. Im still curious as to what exactly you did.

I stuck the wax slug in the barrel pushed it down with a broomstick, charged it up with propane walked out the door pressed the button and BOOOM I almost shit my pants it felt like somone kicked me in the chest

I wasn't really holding it in the traditional way cap was on the ground and my hand was on the barrel luckily the large chunck that flew off went in the oposite direction of me, I found it 30+ feet away

Wax wouldn't be able to hold back the pressure that well, if it got jammed or stuck, the air would blow right through it and bits of wax would go flying from the barrel.
