Im making a cannon with a 8 to 10 inch diameter barrel all steel pipe from a 400 gallon air tank need valve ideas for it!!

I might b wrong but wouldnt a piston valve require alot more space or i would have to cut my 400 gallon tank to insert the valve and barrel then weld...
