might there be a way to put it on a schrader valve that is installed in the chamber so that you don't have to modify it at all? just have it on the schrader when you shoot, that might work. or have some way to rig it so you put the gauge on a schrader which goes to threads rather than just gauge to threads.

i have one of these tire guages and i turned it into a one-way pneumatic ram...... kinda fun.......... punched holes in stuff. ill use it as a loading mechanism for something someday (DART MG!!!!!) but besides that i have no use for it other than going (haha, i punched you with a tire guage........)
