help with new gun

hi. i am making a pneumatic gun and i haven't gotten to far and i have a question

can i just buy a refillable tank and something to refill it without having to constantly pay more? if i can where can i buy this? this is my first pneumatic, so sorry if i don't know a lot

I suppose you could buy an HPA tank and a filler for yourself, would be quite expensive though. For a pneumatic though, most people will just use a compressor to fill the chamber of the gun. You might want to just do that.

sorry if this sounds stupid, but would i have to always have it plugged in?

Uh, depends on what kind you get. If you get one with a decent size tank you can just pressurize it before you go out and haul it with you. Or you can get on of the car tire inflators that plugs into the cigarette lighter thing on a car. They don't have a tank so you'd need it to be plugged in, but they're much more portable.

Well, it all depends bass. Take yourself on over to, wait, where do you live? Just head on over to a major hardware store website like lowes.com or something. The price depends on the brand, the size of the tank, the pressure it's rated for, that kind of thing. I think a 5-gallon might run you about 150 USD, i could be wrong though

Uh, fill what up? You'd just plug the compressor in at home and wait for it to fill and then you're good to go. If you purchase one though, make sure you find someone who works there and ask them if it will hold the pressure and dispense air while it's not plugged in. Tell them that you need a compressor that you can fill, then take somewhere with no electricity and still be able to get the pressure out of it.

That one would work, but it doesn't have a tank to hold air. You'd need to find an adapter for your cigaratte lighter in your car you plug it in. That model just puts the air straight into whatever you're filling,there's no reserve tank like the one I liked you to.

oooooh i get it now i get it. so i buy something that i plug in that compresses and holds air i get like a tube and hook it up to my gun and release it when i want to fire?

Pretty much. You'd get one that has an air tank, it should come with a hose. Just get the proper adapter for the hose and attach the corresponding adapter to the chamber and fill it. Then you have many options for releasing the air to the barrel.

Or if you have a power source nearby, you'd just use the same adapters to fill it, prolly just take a little longer. You need to MAKE SURE that you have a pressure guage on your chamber, you don't wnt to overfill it.
