3" couldn't be compressed very high, unless you used schedule 120! Aha!! You could order some schedule 120 pvc, in like 3" that could be pressurized to roughly 440 psi.

Here is a schedule 120 pressure chart from Harvel pvc.
So, if you want to make a backpack out of pvc, use schedule 80 or 120, not schedule 40. Personally, I would use 120, but it is expensive..

3" sch-40 would be safe up to 150 by my safety standards.
It would hold alot more air than 2".

Are you kidding me? PVC weighs nothing... Expecially if it is above your COG. Like, In real airsoft, one of my friends has a 45 lb vest full of gear... So, PVC would be nothing...

Your friend must get hit alot then.
and weight on a vest isn't the same as weight on your back.
sch 80 pvc is about twice the thickness of sch 40.
So that means it will weigh twice as much.
Why use sch 80 when sch 40 will work fine

nah doesnt have to be a retailer in AUS, but probebly better, because of our crappy laws, they'll thinks its for a paintball gun or a BB gun. its stupidwhy is it LEGAL in Queens land, and not here... im gong to move there

Because I already have a 7 gallon air tank, and running out and buying a beer keg CO2 tank and a regulator is expensive (about 75$). I would if I had the money.

If you are going to use paintball gear go with HPA/co2 like spudzinger said (you only need one, and there are belts designed to hold it behind your back).

I would go with 2x 3" pipes, they will hold alot more then the same length of 2" pipe, but are easier to find fittings for and are more compact than 3".


Bottom line: Go with a 20oz co2 tank with a remote kit and belt pouch. It will be alot less cumbersome and lighter than pvc tanks while holding more gas.

Get a paintball co2 tank remote, take off the male end (End that would screw into a paintball gun). And replace it with the correct fitting....

try a coleman propane tank. its stored as a liquid...... turns to a gas when released, and hey, its cheap! just watch out for cooldown, its a bummer when that happens. you go from firign at 100 PSI to firing at 50 PSI, which sucks. honestly, just go with the coleman propane tank. (or a few of them).
