Ooohhh. That's crazy, good thing I'm not a Google, er, member I guess. I read about that history thing the other day and it did seem pretty creepy to me. Was it maybe a glitch, maybe enabling and then disabling would do the trick?

Google does try to keep a good image in the public eye, but most nerds are convinced they are no better than microsoft. I use their search engine, but am I going to sign up for their sevices and accept their cookies? hell no.
Luckily I also have dialup(oh irony) so my ip's really mean nothing.

Really, what is google going to do to you, sell you stuff? Who cares.
They, unlike microsoft, don't force small companies out of business because they hate competition. In fact, they help them. And besides, that is an automated service, used to "help" you out, and to help the businesses that pay for google subscription. Just like the googlebot on this forum. It's nothing to be afraid of, I'm not!

If I remember right, Google uses the history thing to store things you look up and such, but I believe they store it on their own server. I think a lot of controversy is that someone could have into their server and steal things. I'm not absolutely sure that's the deal, but I'm pretty sure that's part of it.

Oh, well, thats still less of a risk that doing online banking. By far, actually. You can inadverdently go to a false banking site, that looks identical, and is almost fully functional, and end up giving your identity away... That is, if you get a redirectional bug planted in your browser, which I doubt google would do. Ya there is programs like this that will plant themselves in you browser as soon as you click an email, or a harmful link, or something like that. Phishers and Pharmers (identity stealers, and pharmers sell your identity) will usually send you an email, saying that you need to "update" you paypal, or Bank of America account, or whatever, but companies NEVER do this, so just delete the email!!! Also, consider getting getting MacAfee site advisor, a free service, or netcraft toolbar, which is also free. They tell you if you are on a fraudulent site.

I think digg is just a popularity thing. I think the more diggs something gets, the more likely the site is to be reccomended to digg users, or something like that.

Donating Members

Digg is a very popular social bookmarking site. People post links to topics of interest and other people "digg" the stories they like. If they get enough diggs the story is put on the main page.

If it gets to the main page then the site will get a huge amount of traffic and probably bring Theopia down (and Spudfiles if it is on the same server), but I'm sure it brings in a nice chunk of change from ads.

Anyway, dugg to help PCGUY out.
