Dry ice to make CO2?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

What do you think?

I'm nuts.

My first cannon i ever made was dry ice. I made it in the shape of a basic combustion I stuck a potato in one end and unscrewed the cap on the back i filled a coke bottle with water and a little piece of dry ice and put it in the chamber after about 20 seconds the gun exploded shards of it went every where one hit my leg and I still have a scar. one piece left a 3 inch deep hole in my garage.
