stupid questions :P

i have a few stupid questions :p

1)if i have a hole pile of pn18 pvc fittings and i make a chamber out of them but join them with pn12 ( or whatever the equivalent to sch40) pipe would the chamber be able to hold pn18 pressure or would the pn12 let it down?

2)and a chamber made of of pn18 fittings joined with other pn18 fittings would it be pn18 pressure rated? right?

3)oh and how much pressure can a pn18 fitting hold?

Well, the pn12 fitting will probably hold up, but you will have exceded the rating and possibly weakened them.
I think pn18 is 260 psi and pn12 is 170psi, correct me if I'm wrong.

Idon't know these standards but I pretty sure that a chain(or chamber) is only as strong as its weakest link

1: Unless if you cover every bit of PN12 pipe with a PN18 fitting it wont be as strong as PN18. I wouldn't trust it to 290PSI though.

2.Yeah.

3.PN18 means 'Pressure Number 18 BAR' or 252psi.
PN12 means 'Pressure Number 12 BAR' or 168psi.
