Sprinkler vavle seal problem!
Hi, I am 15 and working on my first potato cannon, and am having some problems. I recently modified a sprinkler valve, but i cannot get it to seal. I know that I am supposed to clean and grease the valve, and i have tried that, but the valve continues to release short bursts of air when pressurized. I even tried adding a ball valve to help it seat, but it still fails once the ball valve is open. Anyone have any suggestions or see my problem?

If the barrel is on the left in the picture than the sprinkler valve is backwards
