S.W.A.T. ammo

Has anyone ever tried to make a net ammo like the ones S.W.A.T uses to catch criminals.the ones that when shot, it opens in medair then hits the target stopping them from escaping.

Also is talking about ammo such as the pepper ball allowed on this forum?

i dont see why you couldnt talk about pepper balls because people talk about stun guns which are more leathal. they are basicly paint balls, but with pepper powder in them. i think that you have to be law enforcment to get them though.

anyway, i have never made a net gun, but the design is simple. all you need is about 5 short barrels and a fast valve. the net has weights on it, like little rubber balls or something like that. the balls go in the barrels and the net just kinda gets neatly wadded up. when fired the balls shoot out and take the net with it.

at least i think thats how they work.

hi, I also think law enforcment can buy pepper balls only. but i have an idea on how to make them at home.first take those clear epoxy and make two halves of round balls the size of your barrel then let it harden second but fresh hot peppers, put them under the sun to dry them, then when there fully dry dry dry put them in a coffee grinder then turn it into powder,last put the powder in one side of the halve round clear epoxy then same as the other side then put the two halves together epoxy the center,let dry then fire at a hard surface epoxy cracks/breaks then the powderd pepper will fly every where.[/quote]

Nets and pepperballs are questionable, as they are generally intended to be used on people/animals, which is a violation of one of the rules.

If you stick to <strike>telling us about</strike> using said ammo only on inanimate targets, by my reading, it should technically be allowed... but I wouldn't suggest it.

you can make a net that uses soft weights on each corner that are shaped to fit together as a cone in the barrel, then seperate after launch.
