"Que? It's a schrader with a one-way core." Looks kinda like a male part of a coupling. But yea i want to see it when you get it together, with the breech open and closed if you would. Sounds easy enough.

Well I broke down and pieced the fittings together just for the sake of explaining it. Nothing's glued but:

Have you ever fired projectiles into/at water before? The projectiles have a tendency to ricochet.Might I suggest heavy projectiles,as inertia & kenetic energy is your friend when shooting into something like water.

How long till it's complete?

I thought it was the opposite. I was hoping wire darts would pierce the water with little effort rather than building a beast of a cannon to shoot heavy stuff.

No matter, there are plenty other things I can shoot at. I have to find some way to get rid of the hundreds of darts I have around from my blowgun.

I'll hopefully be done by next weekend if everything arrives on time. Gluing the chamber will be a snap, and then I have to assemble the breech. JB Weld should hold all that, no?

Didnt you watch that mythbusters episode about firing guns into water? The high powered rifles shattered once hitting the water, whereas the slower shooting shotguns was deadly to a much deeper depth.

I am not really sure exactly who made it, but I am sure JSR can fill in for me, but some country made a gun that fired darts and was supposed to be used underwater. You may want to look at that.

ya pyro, your right the hand guns shot into the ballistics gel the farthest. the episode was on today. but the shotgun didnt do any damage. and i think that the bbs from the shell didnt even make it to the gel. i could be wrong though.

for an airsoft gun 500 fps is incredible but i dont know what your really talking about. i guess 500 fps for anything other than a real gun is good.
