This is the first cannon I have posted here. I have dubbed it the HV-PGR, which will soon be painted on it in yellow letters over a flat black basecoat, all of which will be clear coated. for now it is just plain white. i am aware that i used a DWV fitting on this cannon. and it will be replaced soon. dont fret i have pressurized it to 90 psi and it didnt fail. in the event that it does fail i take complete responsibility for my own actions. I have succesfully test fired it and it will relocate a standard golfball around 150-200 yards at 60 psi.
and yes that is epoxy on the end of the dwv joint, it was used to plug a leak not as the inital solvent weld .
Specs-
Chamber: 3"x12" sch. 40 pvc-pw
barrell: 1.5"x48" sdr 21 pvc-pw
valve: 1" modded orbit watermaster sprinkler valve
if someone could run the GGDT on it for me that would be great, the program won't run on my computer. thanks.
if you have any questions or comment feel free to reply. thanks again.

Nice gun but you used DWV fittings AHHHH!! that must mean that it will explode and kill you and your family! Run! lol people are silly, but yeah really nice gun, maybe a breech loading system later? And you may want to build a brace for between the chamber and barrel, so that the coupling on the back isnt placed under a lot of stress. Other than that nicely done.

How the hell is that bell reducer held to the chamber? It sure doesn't look like primer of cement.
As for a breech, may I suggest:

the bell reducer was solvent welded on but was a really loose fit so it had a leak and i put two part epoxy all around that seal to plug the leakand yes that is epoxy on the end of the dwv joint, it was used to plug a leak not as the inital solvent weld

Forgive me. I'm a very lazy person and I'll ignore anything that contains more than 10 words.
When using larger fittings, try to use medium to heavy bodied cement. Also return any loose fittings. You might lose some cash, but it's better than losing you arm!

It's just how thick the liquid is. The heavier the liquid, the more fillers it contains.

Yep, though you could have gone with a slightly bigger chamber and had the valve mounted at the end of the barrel to avoid dead space to improve things a littlerednecktatertosser wrote:most excellent. thanks again modder! almost 300 fps, would that be considered good for a cannon this size?

duely noted my friend, i was considering doing that but i decided it wouldnt affect the performance that much and went for astetics over performance. i have found that one must be sacrificed for the improvement of the other.

true, it's a matter of personal choice and what you want from your launcher really. Personally I'm a bit of an efficientcy nazi, I'd rather have a ghetto launcher that works well that a cleanly built one with half the performance, but again thats my opinion

A view to which I subscribe. Performance comes rather higher than looks to me. Sure, if I can get a nice looking launcher that works well, then that's great. But I definately agree there...jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:true, it's a matter of personal choice and what you want from your launcher really.
