This is an idea I got for an airsoft grenade launcher that I can mount to my airsoft gun. I got the idea after I saw the valve at ace. My question is will it work??

ya it will work, but it would have to open fairly fast and have a decent amount of flow.
the projectile (like a nerf or foam foot ball or whatever you are using) will have to have fins ot it will just tumble and never hit it's target.

Well I think I should be able to open it fast because it works like a blowgun valve.... btw, I know about the fins, but thanks for reminding me

why not do a shotgun spray? and make it a combustion? sorry, that may seem a little wiered....
i know for a fact that i can get airsoft bb's going at least 300 FPS in a shotgun spray out of my mini. ill post plans in a little bit that involve popping the barrel to the side, sliding out the shell, and sliding in a new one.....
anyway, you could also do a chamber-sealing coaxial to save space.
hehe i have alot of ideas lately. you could also make the dart go OUTSIDE the barel instead of inside, thats how the real airsoft grenades work. it works much better than bothering with sabots. go buy some NERF arrow shooter.......

Yes, it will work, no promises on performance though, what with a 6 inch chamber and 4.5 inch barrel.
If you want it to be even somewhat accurate, fins are a necessity.

I'm probably going to build a coaxial, just like the mini m203. The nly differnce is that my barrel will be longer so that I can slide foam rockets over it. BTW does anyone know where I can get foam rockets with a ole in the back.
EDIT: If anyone ever needs to order some nerf ammo, I found a great way to get what you want
