Well they're using the literal interpretation of the mega prefix, which is 1000. KiB is almost the same as a KB, but the KB is 1000 Bytes, and the KiB is 1024.

So the MB is actually 1000 KB, adn that's 1000 Bytes, and there's 1024 MB. Multiply it all and divide by 1024 for the KiB and you get 1000000.
