@kablooie: Steel is actually relatively cheap (in the U.S.) I think the chamber cost around 15 dollars, including the fittings. The whole gun cost around 50 dollars.

Why, it's a dog humping a pole. Also, the rating is probably for the piston in the qev, which would be the first thing in it to break, but I think it could handle more than 150 psi, just like the steel pipe (which is also rated to 150 psi.

Rifling looks a little fast/aggressive, to much twist .

awwww, not a cabela's catalog lol. i like the rifled barrel. i was thinking bout making a rifle myself.... any tips on how i could rifle a barrel myself as easy as possible?

There might be a little more than necessary, but the picture makes it look a lot worse than it really is.

Alright, the rifling is approximately 3/4ths of a revolution over a 5 foot barrel, but the picture makes it look a lot more twisted than it really is. The picture was taken with a cell phone, so it was just bad quality.

Well ifin I did my math right that’s about 1 in 80, which’ll stabilize a projectile approximately .75”dia by 1.05” long.
It’s quite a little to steep for paintballs, requiring a rate of twist of 1 in 102.
As for the picture, no matter how high of grade camera you use it’ll still come out like that because cameras take 2d pictures. But from what I can tell the rifling looks pretty nice.

Thanks, and like I said, the primary ammo is co2 cylinders.

ok, question...why does the ball valve have to be there? Does it have to be open or closed when shooting? help me out guys...i wanna learn lol
