I wouldnt use it in airsoft because I didnt even do it when I had an airsoft gun, I just shot cans and other stuff

Yep, but it's back home. I think the make was "Norita" and it cost less than £30. Anything similar to this should suit your purposes as it's just the right size, look up "brad nailers".

You can buy pushbutton valves off mcmaster that would work great with a small 1/4" qev.

well my problem was that with a slow pull of the blowgun and not a normal squeeze meant that it would honk and thus the bb would be underpowered

this is because a normal quick squeeze often jerks the gun and makes me miss the target ( a can) at 50ft

I have also wanted to make an airsoft gun from a nail gun for a while but have never had the confidents to buy one and find out if it would work, this is why I have posted here

That looks great, just open it up, remove the striker piston and you have yourself a powerful piston valve - all you have to do is figure out a way to bodge a barrel attachment. I went for high strength adhesives, if you have access to a machine shop however there are more elegant solutions

what do you think about drilling and tapping the hole where the striker comes out of and adding a 8mm straight compression to some 8mm aluminium pipe with an id of 6mm?

That works for single shot, though the space previously occupied by the striker is now dead space - why not extend the pipe into the sleeve and fill the space with something? I used - well, not a hard guess ;p

1. remove the striker
2. resize the striker hole to let an 8mm pipe pass through
then fill the surrounding areas with epoxy

btw where do you get your epoxy from
howmuch is there and for what price??

I get it from yacht supply stores, not cheap as it's usually several kg per pack but it goes a long way.

This would be top brand-name stuff, but you'll find more than adequate substitutes for much cheaper.

You don't even have to fill the space, just have a disk blocking the "breech" end of the striker piston tube. This is basically what I did with mine. It could be anything strong enough, even a wooden disk or washer epoxied in place with Araldite or similar. Just make sure that any surfaces are roughened and cleaned beforehand.

Anticlimactic as it sounds, I'm a fan of MS Paint and Jasc Animation Shop for animations.

Random tip, a few small holes in the barrel section that fits inside piston tube and you've got yourself an integral suppressor - though aside from the cool factor of being an integral suppressor, it will probably just cut down on power and not make the launcher any quieter in practical terms
