Wow, nice! To help with your barrels accuracy you should switch to light weight metal conduit. You can get it at home depot and it's really cheap. Pretty easy to adapt to PVC fittings with some epoxy. Very nice overall!

Where did you acquire that spring? I have been searching for a compression spring approximately 12 inches long that will fit over a 1 inch SCH 40 and inside a 1.5" SCH 40.
