You can all see the tiny chamber..I get around 6 GOOD shots out of it.
I'm threading a chamber twice the length.(edit: full length chamber is now in place)
I intend to get around 10 shots minimum.

There is no real style.I'm gathering parts that will all " work" nicely together,
The theme will be a little different...

I plan on using a lot of brass for looks, hardwood for the stock and all steelparts will become flat black.Something that seems to be from the 1800's.

A tribute to the past... :roll: :wink:

firstly I would like to say, excellent gun! secondly what struck me when I saw the picture you posted is that it looks like -with the heavy weight of the gun - the stock would snap very easily IMHO. also I would like to comment on how quickly you managed to make that stock, when I made mine it took a couple of weeks and doesn't look much better than yours!

There should be a subscribe feature in spudfiles, because every time you post a gun I am always completely blown away,

Scope and rifled barrel will be the last things I will add.

I need to finish the stock.It will have the wood extended to the front, a grip if you will.
It will have brass sideplates to connect and firmly attach all the wood pieces and after that ( @ cheeseboy) it will be strong enough.
So yes..at the moment it would snap.I just took the picture as soon as I had something of an assembly to show.It's not near finished as I mentioned earlier :D

Then I will work on the exterior hammer ( :D that's why you can't find it now) and the interior lock for it.It will be placed on the right side like a flintlock hammer.This is purely because of the theme.I could make a hammer anywhere, but it's 1800's I'm going for.

N-i-i-i-i-ce, looks like it's going to turn into a bolt-action Girandoni of sorts :) Have you tried it for muzzle energy before concentrating on the aesthetics?

Since I don;t have a chrony, I had to judge it by the impact..wich was more than okay.

With springtension I will be able to adjust the force of the hammer impact, wich will influence the valve opnening time.
I'll find a midway between power and numer of shots.I think around ten should be enough.I might get a lot more, but I don;t want to sacrifice power that much..

Indeed I have been inspired by the Girandoni rifle.It is what got me into this hobby.You know this right?
After all these years I decided to make one that would appeal to me in a similar fashion.
However it's no attempt to copy it.Not in the least.
The biggest difference externally will be the bolt action, internally I use a completely different valvesystem and the reservoir placement is opposite to that of the Girandoni.Both are old style hammered repeaters.

Hopefuly I'll have time to post some new pics tonight.I'll plane the stock into it's final crude shape.
I might even try some artistic ( but obviously cheesy) woodcarving on the butt.
I've found the perfect brass sideplates...!!
