Sorry to double-post, But I thought I should say that I have successfully fixed my shock pump using Gippeto's Method. I might actually make a how-to, as my design works beautifully...

regardless, thank you all for your help. Expect a nice new, shiny High-pressure cannon out of me soon :-D
