Just an FYI:
Forum Rules wrote:Discussion of solid propellants, explosive devices or incendiary projectiles fired specifically from a spud cannon is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account. For the purpose of this forum, these definitions will be used:
Solid propellant: Any substance containing all the chemical elements required to enable sustained combustion without the presence of additional oxidizers. This includes but is not limited to gunpowder, thermite, and many commercial and/or homemade pyrotechnic compounds.
I am not quite sure what you mean by a "solid fueling plan." There is no discussion of solid propellants on Spudfiles, for fairly obvious reasons.

You will not achieve any effect like a shaped charge with a specialized internal curvature inside your combustion chamber, or the effect will be immeasurable.

Let me rephrase. Is that a sound fueling plan described in my sketch above? :D

I have read the forum rules and was in no way referring to any such thing. Forgive me for my ambiguity.

Yes, except I don't think you'll need that ball valve that's right near the gauge.

Grignacke,
There's no reason to buy camlocks from mcmaster.
Use mcmaster for hard-to-find stuff or when you need a bunch of different stuff in one shipment. Buying something as common as camlocks is an immense waste of money.

Try searching cam groove or cam coupling on ebay.

This guy has tons of them fairly cheap.

Ask this guy for details before buying:

2 Female couplings - $25; Need to buy male parts separately:

Also, you don't necessarily need 2" cams for a 2" barrel. 1.5" fittings may constrict flow, but the high temperature gases that hybrids produce don't notice so much.[/u]

Also also,
Yes, a contoured chamber will help, but not much.
